Sneezy Spring

Well, you know that tickle in your throat & the little noises people make to clear their throat....let's just say those noises haven't been so little for me. They've made me cough & hack & sneeze & hold my head till my abs are really sore. I've been pumping the liquids & trying to take it easy. But it's really cramped my style. It's odd to feel so lousy before spring has sprung! I usually don't feel this bad till MayFest.

So my blog is hum drum filled with lying on the bed like a beached whale watching Regis & Kelly & Rosie & HGTV & DIY. ( I sure do miss Lime TV, it's not there anymore and I don't know why!) I do enjoy the afternoon movies on IFC & caught a John Wayne movie too. At least today, I've managed to get some housework completed in intervals of work then rest, work then rest. It's exciting to get laundry put away to the point where I can actually see my living room furniture!! I haven't seen it in at least a month.

Now, my daughter's room....oohhhhh....how depressing! This photo does not do justice to the filth I experienced today, but it's a taste. I worked on it gradually, sporadically, taking breaks to breathe & focus! It's hard not be angry with her, but why didn't I go in there sooner! She spends a great deal of time in her room unlike my son, who spends his time in the family room on his video games or in the living room on his computer. So, I guess it becomes a secret hide-away where anything goes! Maybe we all need a space like that sometimes especially when we are trying to figure out who we are. But, I'm planning on busting in there from time to time just for health & safety reasons!! (Oh, she hates for me to blog just for these reasons!!)

IL DIVO & Mom

I had lunch with my mom & we listened to her new Il Divo Cd (her belated birthday present). She cried through her entire Wich Which BLT (which was delish!). She talked and I listened. She cried & I listened. She'd like them to come to her funeral...okay, they don't have to come, she'd like for us to play their music. Spending time with parents is a gift in many ways. Some ways I cannot explain, you just know and you've gotta smile (sometimes this will keep you from crying). But, I figured Mom would like this scene of her Il Divo having a bottle of wine. I can just imagine her sitting with them and listening to her just like me. I can see their faces and see their smiles. Bring on the wine! Viva Il Divo & Mom!

Well, lots going on today...from working to get all folks "thanked" for the Cowtown to having lunch with LuLu to getting a new running bra (yeehaw) to weight watcher weigh in & meeting (gained 3, yuk) to Pilates & Yoga, ahhhh... a nice way to end the day. I did not run like I had planned since my duties took away my extra time. I'll have to watch that!! Tomorrow, maybe the Frog Dude & I can make some tracks around the neighborhood. I've got to try out this superb running bra with 25 eyehooks & a 15 min yoga pose to get it on.

I learned this today..."where the mind goes, energy flows."

Food...well, food could have been better. No calcium and not enough veggies today.

Breakfast-mozarella & flour tortilla & coffee

Lunch- Amy's single serving rosemary crackers with turkey & cheese, walnut crunch

Dinner- Meatloaf, green beans & mashed potatoes (half servings)

Tortilla chips & salsa, two chicken nuggets & three french fries

If I don't sit down & eat in peace, then I feel like I "missed" out & I try to make it up later. What an attitude...I'll work on that. Always learning something. New day tomorrow!

Marching In

Well, it's almost here...Spring! It must be my favorite season even if I do sneeze. My hands long for the dirt, my nose loves the fresh earthy aromas, my skin enjoys the warmth of the sun & my eyes are entranced by the colors. I ran into to Home Depot today & I had to fight my urge to buy a perennial. I had my eye on a beautiful striped purple & white creeping phlox...hmmm...I must go back later. I'll probably dream about it.

Now to post the work accomplished...got it done: two cardio & weight training classes, and one Pilates & Yoga class. My pecs are really sore & my back, ouch! Not from the weights, but probably from hauling large bags of laundry & cleaning on my hands & knees. A massage...I'm going to have to get one.

Tomorrow, I'd love to run in the middle of the day. I have a Weight Watcher weigh in...yikes!
And, I 'll teach a Pilates & a Yoga class tomorrow evening. Now, I've just got to watch what I put into my mouth.
